Bhu Tarn Koh Chang Resort and Spa
October 2018
Bhu Tarn Koh Chang Resort and Spa is the sister resort of Klong Prao Resort. We really liked our room in Klong Prao, but we only booked for two nights. Unfortunately, the room was not available for two more nights. I quickly looked for hotels nearby through the Agoda app on my phone and found Bhu Tarn. It was not far from our room in Klong Prao so it was easy to move our things. I quickly booked a room online to make sure it was ours for the next two nights in Koh Chang.
We had to go out through Klong Prao Resort’s main entrance to get to Bhu Tarn. Walking was a shorter alternative route, but we brought a car. We had to cross a long and winding wooden bridge to reach it through the shortcut. Regardless which way, moving to Bhu Tarn was worth it. It was beautiful. We were given a room with a river view where we could see mangroves in the balcony at the back. The room was clean and spacious. There was a balcony in front of it too.
It had all the necessary amenities to make our stay comfortable plus there was a bathtub! The bed was a bit smaller than our bed before, but it was very comfortable.
The resort’s pool was easily accessible from our room. It was safe to swim with our little one. When not swimming, she had fun playing with stones around the pool.
We could have eaten at Rim Had, Klong Prao Resort’s beach restaurant, but we opted to eat breakfast twice in a restaurant nearby. It was a short walk from Bhu Tarn’s main entrance. It mainly served Western food. Meanwhile, glad the resort had room service. When it was too hot at noon, we ordered Thai food and ate in the room.
When not swimming in the pool, we were relaxing on the beach. We brought a Bhu Tarn bag with beach towels and slippers in it. The view was gorgeous and picture-perfect especially at sunset. Just a minor inconvenience was the jellyfish in the sea so we did not swim longer. We liked swimming in Klong Prao Resort’s pool instead.
